Running with the Beat

New Balance knows running shoes, so it made sense for them to create a line of fitness monitors for runners. The VentMax running watch features all the functions that runners like to track during their workouts: a chronograph with workout memory for laps and split times, a training log with best and average lap times, plus numerous timers and standard time and date functions. The ergonomic-fitting watch also has a cool mesh insert on the band for breathability. $70, www.nbmonitors.com

Coffee in a Bottle

With GSI Outdoors’ H2JO! you can say goodbye to crappy camp coffee. This handy filter fits most any wide-mouth water bottle. Just fill your bottle with hot water, screw on the filter, add grounds, screw on the cap, turn the bottle upside down, agitate for four minutes and voilà, you’ve got a great cup of coffee in the great outdoors. Also works with tea leaves. $10, www.gsioutdoors.com

Aquasphere XP Multisport Wetsuit

Aquasphere, which is best known for its swim goggles that have become hugely popular among triathletes, now has a new wetsuit to help with that tri swim. The XP Multisport Wetsuit is being used by 2005 Ironman champ Faris Al Sultan and Christof Wandratsch, the record-holder for the fastest swim in an Ironman event. The suit is designed to prevent constriction in the arms, legs and chest, and the Aqua grip cuffs seal to help keep water out. The XP is a unisex suit, but the WXP women-specific version is also available. $349, www.aquasphereswim.com
